Note: I've changed the website design and templates, and I've changed hosts. Things seem to be working so far.

I’m finding the Top Shelf 2.0 reading experience quite frustrating. It’s like there’s a new story/strip every day, but continuations of those strips are almost non-existent. I can’t keep up with 20 comics at once! I have enjoyed Michael DeForge’s Cave Adventure, which is like a cross between Skibber Bee Bye and one of Mat Brinkman’s comics from Paper Rodeo (the one’s that are D&D-like), and Chris Eliopoulos’ Bravest Nino, which has a great 60s graphic style.

Following these group sites can be frustrating when you are interested in only some of the content (why I ended up not reading Modern Tales anymore). I have the same problem with Act-I-Vate, though I keep with that mainly so I don’t miss any Vulcan & Vishnu or Bee episodes. What I really want is feeds for individual comics/authors, and one for “new additions”. I understand the desire to pool readers so the more popular comics bring in readers to the less popular ones, but I get annoyed by the extra time it takes me to go past the stuff I already know I don’t want to read. I want to just get the stuff I want, along with the opportunity to try out the new additions.
