This week’s links
- Attempts: 100 Great Pages: Introduction, with Apologetics and Rules - Stephen Frug’s series of close looks at single pages from a variety of comics. Read them all (8 so far).
- Attempts: 100 Great Pages: Kevin Huizenga’s Curses, p. 77 - Stephen Frug writes a long appreciation of a page from Huizenga’s Curses. Go read.
- Interview with Kevin Huizenga from APE - He talks about diagrams and comics and Glenn Ganges as a character. (And I think he’s drinking an Anchor Steam in the photo!)
- The Right Number Intro Page - Scott McCloud - Now free. An unusual method of transition from panel to panel… in the light of McCloud’s definition of comics are these panels "juxtaposed"?
- JohnBarberComics.com | writing - Barber’s thesis on comics layouts, on which more later.
- "Discovery of Spoons" By Alexander Danner and John Barber - A short comic without any figures. It uses Flash (I think) to reveal the panels and words on the page in order like something surfacing in water. (Link from Tim).
