HIs layouts help give a good sense of movement, as you said, but also a feeling of scale (see his &lt;a href="http://www.cabanonpress.com/HP1.htm" rel="nofollow"&gt;Hunter and Painter&lt;/a&gt; - especially the penultimate strip - for example. His designs have a good weight, or solidity to them. Very appealing.
