Jaime’s Pencils for L&R Vol.3 - A pencilled page by one of my favorite artists. Very nice.
Matt Rota Landscape Comics - The first 4 comics on this page, single pages from McSweeneys 21, are really beautiful landscape comics.
Sequart: Art in Sequence - The column only lasted two articles, but the second one, a long look at the first six chapters of McKean’s Cages, is worth reading for the insight on the book’s themes. Too bad the author didn’t write more, or even finish the promised part 2 on Cages.
Of Eddie Campbell, Useful Distinctions and Distracting Distinctions - Stephen Frug takes on Eddie Campbell in re definitions. I believe I’m with Stephen on this one.
Love & Rockets moves to annual book format! - Large L&R annuals sounds like a great idea to me. While that means more waiting, at least what you get is more substantial. And it will be interesting to see how the brothers deal with this longer format.
