Links for January 3rd through January 25th
Some reading for January 3rd through January 25th:
- A behemoth from the Dead Zone - David Bordwell on the film “Cloverfield” interesting for his discussion of first person limited narration in film. Off the top of my head, I’m not coming up with any comics that use the limited first person viewpoint in the unmediated form.
- Food for Thought at Chadwick?s Anti-Domino?s « The Wright Opinion - Great review of Volume 7 of Concrete. The paras on thought balloons is particularly worth further consideration.
- The Gay Utopia - Haven’t read this yet, but Noah Berlatsky put together this symposium. Lots of comics related content. The manga story by Nishizaka Hiromi has amazing page layouts/compositions.
- Ad Reinhardt - Comics by the abstract painter, mostly about art.
- Kioskerman - Wish I could read the webcomics on this blog, but I don’t know Spanish. Found this page because it links to me.
