Unfortunately I already split my thoughts/time/reading up so many ways that I can’t keep it all going at once.

I sort of figured. And, as I said, I wasn't even pushing for you to switch back, so much as I thought you'd like to know that those essays are still ones that I, at least, like. (Actually, for a fair number of those books you're still high in the google search ranking too -- so it's not just me!)

Just praise, with the slight thought that that maybe it might encourage you *if* you were already motivated in that direction.

Hey Stephen. Unfortunately I already split my thoughts/time/reading up so many ways that I can't keep it all going at once.

On a personal/creative level, all that Oulipo did help me a lot in the way I think about projects and art. There is a lot of small constraints in place in my webcomic, for example.

Maybe I'll get back to the Oulipo someday. I still have tons of unread articles and books on the subject. (I'd probably have to work more on my French first so I could tackle the Oulipian Bibliography).

I don't recall what set it off, but I went through a binge today of reading (or often rereading) your reviews of various Oulipian works -- Nufer and Mathews and Sorrentino and Russell and on and on. And I just wanted to remark that I miss that element of your blog. Oh, I love comics, and I love your writings about comics -- the Tintin piece was quite good, to take just the most recent example -- but I miss the Oulipo stuff. (Not particularly asking you to do more, even: just sayin'.)
