Almost forgot, Jamie Hernandez’s new Maggie serial launched in the New York Times’ “Funny Pages” Sunday section this week. Interesting to see his work in color, I’m not sure I prefer it to the black and white. The color kind of obscures the beautiful simplicity and lines of his drawing. (Simplicity is the watchword of the day I guess.) Curious to see where this one will go. One page a week will be a very different pacing for Jaime’s work.
I gave up on Ware’s serialization (which ended last week in the same section) early on, but just downloaded them all to read through.
