Drowners was released through Desperado who was partnered with Image at the time...so it carries both of their imprints on it.

And you're right...the site no longer says its defunct. When DriveThru started putting up the titles available as downloads, I put that on the homepage and didn't replace the "defunct-ness" of the site.

I will put that back up as well as put Exit on there when I get a chance.

Amazing how many submissions I get to Caliber from fans who "read every issue that comes out"....

Also, was Drowners distributed through Image or something? I know it was in the Image section when I pre-ordered it.

Gary, that's great news that Exit will be collected. I look forward to it.

As for the website... it doesn't say anywhere that the site is defunct and an archive some sort. Who's to know?

I agree that Exit was a great book and Caliber was proud to present it as a series and a graphic novel. Of course, we weren't happy about the printing and that disasterous situation with the printer screwing up the binding was one of the things that drove Caliber out of business. It was not our fault yet we suffered far more than anyone else on those faulty bindings.

And I'm not sure why you mention Caliber's "poor website"...I simply leave it up there as a reference point...it's not like I'm going to continue to update after Caliber has not published for 7 years. Maybe I should just take it down...

Drowners was collected and released by Desperado Publishing. EXIT is planned to be collected by Desperado as well.

Hey Myk, glad to hear there is another fan of the book. A Complete Exit volume would be great. For awhile Kanan was self-publishing his work (Drowners as a serialization), but I haven't seen anything recently.

EXIT is my favorite book by Kanan and one of my favorite books, period.

Just like the first issue of Kane the artwork blew me away at the time; it´s a shame that he toned it down in his later books; becoming more... conventional, for lack of a better word.

I wish someone would come through and publish a Complete Exit already. Not only because Caliber messed up the binding (when I complained about that way back when, they sent me a replacement copy that was stapled through the spine; ouch), but because it´s a seminal work by one of comics truly original voices.
