I really agree with your lines on Kevin Huizenga : he's making a good job. Have you seen the "Trouble sleeping" work on his blog ("the balloonist", on blogspot) ?

Curses on my blog : here

Hey Matt,

I read the first of the Gipi Igantz books and was rather bored with it. The art had some very attractive qualities to it (the way he shifted the look for past and present scenes), but I found the story fairly banal. Sadly, something we see too often in comics, where if you are working alone you need to strike some balance between writing and drawing quality.

Sometimes I think I'm being too harsh, and then I read a really excellent novel and realize that there a lot of literary qualities missing from the "literary" comics.

I was interested to read what you had to say about Interiorae, in part because I have to really work to get any of the Ignatz books here, and am therefore half-looking for reasons to not get them (or, on the brighter side, to go to the effort to track them down and buy online, etc). But I want to ask if you are reading Gipi's _The Innocents_, which I think is great. I have the two issues put out so far, and both have really satisfied me. And bonus: they are self-contained, or near enough. Great stuff!

Not that you need people pushing you to buy more books.
