Comics Comics
Art Out of Time) and Timothy Hodler, both of (or formerly of) Picturebox/Ganzfeld, are starting a new magazine called Comics Comics along with an accompanying blog. They describe the magazine as:
Comics Comics, a magazine devoted entirely to comics, which we hope will fill in some of the gaps left empty by current comics criticism. It includes reviews, editorials by working cartoonists (the first issue’s op-ed is by Paper Rad), comics by such luminaries as Mark Newgarden and Matthew Thurber, interviews, lists, essays on comics past and present, and other whatnot. Also, it’s free.
The blog looks to be interesting too. Hodler already has a piece up about Carl Barks. I’ve added it to my regular reading and hopefully can pick up a copy of the magazine at MOCCA this weekend.
