Neil Cohn writes on the terminology of “comics”. He makes a lot of good points involving the use of the term “comics” in its various manifestations and how that colors perception of the whole mess of image-word-things. In an attempt to “reframe” the terminological paradigm to relate to “visual language” he does fail to offer any convincing alternative.
