2nd Anniversary
Today is this blog’s second anniversary! Hooray.
I haven’t converted all the archives over to Wordpress, yet, but you can still see the earliest post that is up (not the first post or two as they have long been erased), my review of a book about Springsteen (who has a new album coming out Tuesday!). Strangely, if you look at my anniversary post from last year, he also had an album coming out the following Tuesday. I guess he’s on a yearly schedule lately.
In the past year, I’ve almost completely moved into comics blogging, though retaining a lot of the formal elements of my previous constraint/oulipo blogging. I’ve also managed to create a lot of webcomics this year, which I feel have been getting better over time.
What will the future hold? More webcomics, continuing Maroon and hoping to find time for some other experiments (I’ve got an infinite canvas and one other more technologically experimental comic in mind). More comics reviews, including more French comics, more on the Masters of American Comics. I’m also hoping to get a comics lexicon started up soon. And while I’m at it, I’ll try to get all my old archives (the old oulipo stuff) into the blog system so they are all categorized, tagged, and searchable.
I hope all you who read this blog (whoever and however many of you there are) will continue to read and enjoy. I’m always open to suggestions or comments (particularly on the webcomics, I get almost no feedback on them) either on the blog or email/IM me (contact info on the sidebar).
