		<description>Perhaps it&#039;s just because he uses the Sluggo imagery-- but I really see Guston in certain of these pages.  Whereas in Jessica Overby seemed to be more about perception, these feel quite physical to me.  Lots of grotty textures pitched against iconic forms.

Cincinnati&#039;s art museum used to have this great Guston hanging, &amp; I&#039;d get lost in the layers of paint more than the iconography.  Overby&#039;s one of the few cartoonists who can do that to me.</description>
