Oh yeah, but that would be the case anywhere. I thought it was a step-up from MoCCA in that regard (except the lack of wall of international artists at MoCCA which I always like perusing).

I forgot to mention in the beginning to the TCAF model, which I believe is an application process. You can apply to show, but the organizers still curate. That seems like an interesting model.

TOO negative? No, not at all. It’s just as you say — you’re not into a lot of the stuff people seemed most excited about making and buying there.

I found this report really helpful in getting a handle on the “con” side of the BCGF pro and con question. As you could probably guess, I’ve got a “pro” post coming up. :)

I have seen the one Porcellino did.

Junkavic’s was actually for a show at the comics museum in Angouleme. They had 100 artists do “cover versions” of 100 pages by other artists. Here are some details (in French): http://www.citebd.org/spip.php?rubrique217

I’m glad you got to meet John P. You may remember that he’s one of my comic book heroes, too.

I also thought it was interesting that Dunja Jankovic had done that FF page. Have you seen that John P. has done something similar?
