It’s been 3 years since I started this blog. Originally very focused on literary constraint and the Oulipo, my love of comics and a not-unrelated-to-constraint interest in the formal elements of comics has lead me to the current state of this word dump.
For all of you that have been reading for a month or 3 years, thanks! I know there are at least a few of you out there reading.
You can go way back and read my first post (well the first post that remains), a review of a book on Springsteen. Had I planned better I’d have worked up a list of favorite posts, but alas, there is plenty else to do today. If you are so inclined take a moment to browse the archives listed in the sidebar, or go over to the archives left at the old part of the site that I haven’t yet imported into WordPress (it’s on my list).

I’ve enjoyed MadInkBeard for a long time now — near the beginning, I think. (Came for the oulipo; stayed for the comics…) I look forward to its continuance!

Congrats man. I knew you first from the Buffyology list and then I remember you emailing me when we realized we were both on it. I love this blog, from back when it was more about constraints to the current focus on comics. Best of luck with more blogging.

Yep it is still going. Sometimes it is a little slow but it still has a decent amount of discussion going on.
